This could be useful for iPhone OS 3.0 who have Google Calendar account.  That is if you are using a corporate Exchange account, .Mac\/Mobile Me or are not comfortable sharing your contacts with Google (just your times and locations).  These options preclude using Google&#8217;s excellent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/mobile\/default\/sync.html\">Google Sync service<\/a>, but for all others <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/mobile\/default\/sync.html\">Google Sync service<\/a> is my recommendation.<\/p>\n<p>For those who would like to use CalDAV, read on.<\/p>\n<p>Setting up your own\/primary Google Calendar is simple:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Launch the <strong>Settings<\/strong> tool<\/li>\n<li>Choose <strong>Mail, Contacts, Calendars<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/mattclare.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/img_0176-200x300.png\" alt=\"Add CalDAV Account\" title=\"Add CalDAV Account\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-673\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mattclare.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/img_0176-200x300.png 200w, https:\/\/mattclare.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/img_0176.png 320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Choose <strong>Add Account&#8230;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Other<\/strong> and Add <strong>CalDAV Account<\/strong><br clear=\"right\" \/><\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/mattclare.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/img_0177-200x300.png\" alt=\"Account Details\" title=\"Account Details\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-676\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mattclare.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/img_0177-200x300.png 200w, https:\/\/mattclare.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/img_0177.png 320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Then enter the server as <em>www.google.com<\/em>, and your respective <em>User Name<\/em> and <em>Password<\/em>, the iPhone should add the description for you.<\/li>\n<li>When you&#8217;re done press <strong>Save<\/strong> and you should see your Google <strong>Calendar<\/strong> entries in the Calendar tool and be able to add new entries and receive automatic updates.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You may notice that the previous steps only adds your own, or primary, Calendar.  You can add your shared calenders etc. by slightly modifying the steps above:<\/p>\n<p>Before you start, in your web browser (on your Desktop computer or in Safar, just go to the &#8220;real&#8221; version of Google Calendar) log into your Google Calendar and choose from the fly-out menu beside the title of your calendar on the left and select <strong>Calendar Settings<\/strong>.
