Enough votes for someone other than Bush but not enough for someone specifically.  Old News.<\/p>\n<p>What I want to point out is the number of people who have given up on an American future based on rationality.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve finally got confirmation that Colin Powell is gone, [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/news\/world\/story.html?id=c5c77f89-4256-4d01-8ac9-0caedaf8b7a7\">Canada.com<\/a>] plus a few of this colleagues with lesser talent.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a survey from slashdot.org wondering <a href=\"http:\/\/slashdot.org\/pollBooth.pl?qid=1200&#038;section=mainpage&#038;aid=2\">Would You Move To Canada?<\/a> from Friday October 29<sup>th<\/sup>.  Here&#8217;s the results<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only if Kerry wins.    \t6%  3518 \/ 6%<\/li>\n<li>Only if Bush wins.   \t36% 19467 \/ 36%<\/li>\n<li>Only if Nader wins.   \t3% 1870 \/ 3%<\/li>\n<li>Only if there&#8217;s a civil war.   \t9% 5279 \/ 9%<\/li>\n<li>No, the idea of free health care frightens me.   \t10% 5827 \/ 10%<\/li>\n<li>No, but I&#8217;d bomb it.   \t16% 8625 \/ 16%<\/li>\n<li>Already live there.   \t13% 7135 \/ 13%<\/li>\n<li>Already live in Ann Arbor, which is close enough.   \t3% 1992 \/ 3%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lastly, there&#8217;s the one that&#8217;s been making the eMail rounds: <a href=\"http:\/\/sorryeverybody.com\/\">sorryeverybody.com<\/a> You can&#8217;t find a full page in the gallery of Americans apalogising to the world where there&#8217;s not a Canada refrence.<\/p>\n<p>So, Americans, here&#8217;s my recommendation: Move to NY or LA and pretend there&#8217;s nothing in the middle, buy all the West Wing DVDs and pretend that&#8217;s reality, or move to Canada.  But in the end, we still have the same problem.
